Man, no one is ever going to read my blog since I never write in it anymore:/ I always have great intentions, but that's about as far as it goes...
We had our ultrasound since I last posted and I admitted to people that I would quite possibly be a little disappointed to find out we were having another boy, but only for a second or so. Well, it was pretty obvious right away that we are indeed having another boy, but I can honestly say that I wasn't even the slightest bit disappointed! Pure happiness and practically flutters when I heard/saw the news - instant attachment to our next sweet baby, can't wait to meet him! Brains was put out though, she sighed and said, "I have 4 brothers and only 1 sister..." Well, I can tell you this much, Brains and Curly are best friends so if they don't ever get another sister at least they have eachother! It's a temporary disappointment because I know the second she lays eyes on her next little brother it will be all smothering and love from then on:o) She knows it too.
Me, my hubby, and baby #6
Tonight me and the girls took my mom to the train station while I left the boys behind for J to feed and put to bed. We drove to McDonalds to get my mom some coffee and Brains piped up from the backseat that she wanted a cheeseburger. I thought, "Oh I might as well get them food while we're here." I then asked Curly, "What do you want Curly, do you want anything?" Brains very nonchalantly said, "Curly isn't here?" Right then I got a call from my husband and he asked, "Diiiid you forget something?" Hahaha, OH MY WORD!!! I totally left without Curly and apparently she was on our front step while we drove away, then since our kids can't get our front door opened on their own she started pounding (quite upset from what I hear) on the door. J said he hardly heard her, I am SO glad he did though! So we got our order, quickly re-routed for home to pick up my poor abandoned child and headed off AGAIN, but this time with everyone:/ I may want to consider doing a head count of the children I plan to bring wherever I am headed... Yikes!

Wounded Butterflies
On Saturday there was a memorial service type of thing for all the kids who died at the hospital where Lincoln was born and then where he was taken to the morning we lost him. I'm not the kind of person who needs to go to support groups or finds it healing to go to things like this, but anything in "memory" of Linc seems like a good idea to me:o) My hubby was at a counselor's training for the camp our youth group teens go to every summer so I had a friend and all the kids join me for this memorial service. Family stood up as their child's name was read (which made me especially glad to be there if not for any other reason. The thought of nobody being there to stand up for my baby is a sad thought), then there were poems, songs, a slideshow of all the kids we were there to remember (so sad), refreshments, and a butterfly/balloon release. Someone gave Smiles a balloon which I wasn't sure he would be willing to let go of, but on cue he let it go with no prompting or tears! Both girls got butterflies. Curly wasn't intentionally being rough with her butterfly, but I noticed some blood on the side of the container it was in:/ We were told that since it was chilly the butterflies probably wouldn't fly away so if we wanted to bring them home and release them the next day that would be fine. Brains wanted to keep hers, but I wanted to get rid of Curly's a.s.a.p considering it might just die on us any minute. I really didn't pay attention to the big release since my focus was to slyly get Curly's butterfly to disappear and blend in with the plants. Brains held on to hers for the next 30 minutes or so, but as we were heading to the car we noticed her butterfly was bleeding too:o( Yeah... Well we got rid of that one also, poor butterflies - they are WAY to fragile. I told the girls "We did NOT come here today to kill off two butterflies!" The butterflies are a really neat idea, but if I ever encounter the opportunity to do a release like that again, I will keep those poor creatures away from my eager, young children!
Here is a song that I really LOVE! I like the tune, but the words are SO good! Just a great reminder - one I need to be reminded of often, that God is Sovereign and He can give us strength to get through each day! Do listen!
